A huge shopping center has been proposed at the intersection of I-12 and Hwy. 21. The development includes two big box stores - a super WalMart and a Sam's Club.  If completed, this development will adversely impact the already congested traffic in the area, and ruin over 75 acres of wetlands bordering on the Scenic Tchefuncte River.
