We all buy insurance to protect our lives and our property. Homeowner’s insurance is to protect our property from fire, theft and hurricane damage. Automobile insurance is to protect our vehicles and our liability if we should be so unfortunate as to cause an accident. Health insurance is to protect us in case of a medical emergency. Life insurance is to protect our loved ones in the event of our deaths.
We pay our premiums on time, year after year, often without ever making a claim. We do this with the expectation that when the time comes, the insurance companies will live up to their end of the bargain and pay all claims covered under the policies. Sadly, however, this is not always the case. Insurance companies may try to minimize the amount of your claim, or in some cases deny it outright. You may have to face that ruthless insurance adjuster, whose job is to look out for the company’s interests, not yours. This usually comes at a time of great stress in your life, when your home has been damaged, your health is poor, or you have just lost a loved one.
Henry Dart has been standing up to insurance companies for decades, protecting our clients’ rights. We make every effort to see that all damages or expenses covered by an insurance policy are fully paid by the insurer. Unfortunately, the law does not allow the recovery of attorney’s fees in addition to your damages; but we will do our best to structure our fee arrangement with you to maximize your recovery.
If you have had an insurance claim denied, or if you feel that you are not being fully compensated as your policy requires, please contact us immediately. We can help you.
